Al Futtaim Toyota has officially launched the 2025 Land Cruiser Hybrid SUV in the UAE, debuting the region’s first-ever hybrid-electric version of the legendary nameplate. With the launch of the Hybrid Land Cruiser, the Middle East has become the first market to witness the arrival of this flagship SUV before its global unveiling in the coming months. This launch signifies the model’s popularity in the UAE and the brand’s confidence in the market.

With over 70 years of off-road legacy, the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser with the brand’s latest hybrid technology will deliver better power output, fuel efficiency, and superior driveability by protecting its year-old rugged and iconic build quality.
The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine coupled with a parallel hybrid system, producing 457 hp of combined power output and 790 Nm of maximum torque. Toyota has claimed that the 20255 Land Cruiser Hybrid is the most powerful model the brand has ever produced with integrating hybrid technology, offering 20% higher torque and 40% increased throttle response to its petrol counterpart. The electrified powertrain is also designed to ensure rugged performance and can operate on the petrol engine in case of hybrid system failure, making it ideal for remote adventure and challenging off-road terrains.

The Japanese automobile manufacturer has designed and tested in real-case scenarios, including comprehensive trials in deserts, wadis, and mountains of the UAE, ensuring the model maintains rugged capabilities for what the iconic Land Cruiser nameplate is known for. Its hybrid system is said to be waterproof to tackle any off-road challenge, including water fording.
The new Land Cruiser Hybrid is available in two variants, VXR and GR-S, retaining the nameplate’s signature road presence with exclusive design elements like Jet Black Hybrid bumpers for VXR and Hybrid/457TT badging.
Additionally, the model gets electric power steering for better off-road maneuverability and improved steering handling. It also packs a 1500W AC power inverter to power household electronics and camping gear and Toyota’s full suite of driver assist and off-road features.
Toyota’s strategy to launch the hybrid version of the Land Cruiser is part of a goal to make the conventional fuel-powered vehicle more environmentally friendly without compromising on luxury features, performance, and build quality.
