【PCauto】The official images of the 2026 Toyota Camry have been released, and the standout feature is the addition of the new Nightshade Edition.
This version boasts a distinctive darkened design, featuring a midnight black metallic finish on elements, including the front grille, exterior mirrors, door handles, front and rear badges, a sporty ducktail spoiler, and a shark fin antenna, creating a strong sense of sportiness and mystery. Paired with 19-inch black wheels, the overall visual impact of the vehicle is significantly enhanced.

Stepping inside, the 2026 Camry is also impressive. The Nightshade Edition features a blacked-out interior with a “Black Knight” style, where black SofTex seats are accented with white stitching for an elegant touch. Additionally, the inclusion of metal pedal covers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and paddle shifters further elevates the driving experience and quality.
In terms of powertrain, the entire 2026 Camry lineup is equipped with Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, combining a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor. The front-wheel-drive models boast a combined output of 225 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive versions add an electric motor on the rear axle, bringing the total power to 232 horsepower, paired with an E-CVT transmission.

This hybrid system delivers a more linear power output and exceptional acceleration, along with a significant improvement in fuel efficiency. Official data indicate that the front-wheel-drive version achieves just 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers.
Additionally, the application of an electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive (AWD) system allows the 2026 Camry to handle complex road conditions with ease. Compared to mechanical AWD, this system increases power by 30 horsepower and can precisely distribute torque between the front and rear wheels based on road conditions, enhancing the vehicle’s handling and stability.

In terms of safety, the 2026 Camry comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 advanced driver assistance system, which includes features such as pre-collision pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, and road sign recognition to effectively prevent traffic accidents. The vehicle is also equipped with seven airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system, providing comprehensive safety for all occupants.
Moreover, higher trim levels offer an optional Premium Plus Package that includes additional driving assist features, such as traffic jam assist and front cross traffic alert, further enhancing driving safety and convenience.
The 2026 Toyota Camry is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this fall, though pricing details have yet to be announced.
