How Much Is the 2026 Lexus RZ?

Lexus updated the RZ for the 2026 model year, granting its electric SUV more power, longer range and a new F Sport variant, the brand’s first high-performance electric vehicle. There are also a few improvements to interior features, but the notable increases in horsepower and range, which are accompanied by a name change for the entry-level model, are likely the main reasons the base price of the RZ is up $3,200 from the 2025 model’s price. The 2026 Lexus RZ starts at $47,295 (all prices include $1,295 destination charge).

Release Date and Pricing
The 2026 Lexus RZ will go on sale later this year. Full line pricing is as follows:
- RZ 350e: $47,295
- RZ 350e Premium: $49,495
- RZ 450e: $50,795
- RZ 450e Premium: $52,995
- RZ 450e Luxury: $58,295
- RZ 550e F Sport: $58,295
Powertrain Specs and Range
The RZ’s entry-level powertrain, the 350e, consists of a single electric motor sending 224 horsepower to the front wheels — 23 more hp than the 2025 RZ 300e. Lexus says its 74.7-kilowatt-hour battery pack is good for a range of 302 miles, 36 more miles than the base 2025 model’s EPA rating. (Official EPA ratings for the 2026 RZ are not yet available.)
For 2026, the RZ 450e’s dual electric motors (one on each axle for all-wheel drive) generate a total of 313 hp. That’s just 5 hp more than the 2025 model, but its 261-mile estimated range betters the 2025 version by 41.
New for this model year, the AWD RZ 550e F Sport is fitted with more powerful motors and a slightly larger battery capable of storing 77 kWh of juice. It boasts a combined 408 hp, but that output drains the battery in just 228 miles.

Trim Levels
Other than their electric motors, the base and Premium trim levels are the same between the RZ 350e and RZ 450e. Standard features on the base trim include keyless entry and starting, 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers and a power liftgate. Inside, the RZ boasts synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger and 10 speakers.
Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the 2026 RZ lineup and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, road-sign recognition and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
The Premium trim gains a fixed panoramic moonroof with variable tint and a hands-free power liftgate, as well as more standard safety features. The RZ 450e Luxury adds 20-inch wheels, synthetic suede trim on the front seats, heated outboard rear seats and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.
In addition to its more powerful motors, the RZ 550e F Sport features unique front and rear bumpers, exclusive 20-inch wheels, a retuned suspension and paddle shifters that allow the driver to shift through eight simulated gears. Its standard equipment otherwise mirrors the Premium trim, but with the heated rear seats included.
A 360-degree camera system and parking sensors are standard on the Premium trim level, while a head-up display is optional; all three are standard on the Luxury and F Sport. Automated parking, lane change assist, traffic-jam assist and front cross-traffic alert are standard on the Luxury trim and optional on the Premium and F Sport.

We recently put our long-term 2025 Toyota 4Runner hybrid through the same cargo-area measuring procedure we use for other test cars, and in addition to determining its overall cargo volume behind the backseat, we also learned some interesting things about its luggage space. Here’s what we found.

Impressive Overall Cargo Space
- Takeaway: With 22.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the backseat, according to Cars.com measurements, the 2025 4Runner hybrid’s cargo area is among the largest in the two-row mid-size SUV class.
The 2025 4Runner hybrid has a large open cargo area behind its second row of seats along with small underfloor storage areas at the rear — and front — of the cargo space. When we crunched the numbers, we came up with 22.9 cubic feet of overall cargo room, making it the third-largest mid-size two-row SUV cargo area we’ve measured so far:

The gas-only 2025 4Runner offers an optional two-person third row that increases seating capacity to seven. However, most versions have two rows and seating for five — including hybrids like our TRD Off-Road Premium trim — despite coming with molded-in storage cubbies on the cargo walls for your (nonexistent) third-row passengers.
The key to the 4Runner’s large cargo space is its deep, squared-off shape, but its unusual underfloor storage adds some space, too. Neither one is very large at a little more than half a cubic foot each, and their long and narrow design limits what you can put in them (your kid’s little league bat, maybe?). The underfloor storage at the forward part of the cargo area isn’t that accessible, either.

If you don’t get the gas-electric i-Force Max hybrid powertrain like our 4Runner has, you don’t get these odd underfloor storage spaces. Rather, in gas-only two-row 4Runners, you have a considerably lower cargo floor because the hybrid system components that go between these underfloor storage spaces aren’t present.
Surprisingly High Liftover Height
- Takeaway: The 2025 4Runner Hybrid’s 37-inch liftover height is high for a mid-size SUV.
The elevated cargo floor due to the hybrid system components increases the 4Runner’s liftover height to a measured 37 inches. That’s a good 6 inches taller than the measured liftover in the 2025 Nissan Murano SUV, and it’s an inch higher than the measured liftover height in the 2025 Infiniti QX80 full-size SUV. What this means in everyday use is that you have to lift higher whatever you’re loading into the cargo area, whether that’s groceries, luggage, sports gear or something else.

Gas-Only 4Runner’s Cargo Area Is Likely Even Larger
We haven’t measured the gas-only Toyota 4Runner’s cargo area yet, but it’s a good bet the SUV has even more space than our long-term 4Runner hybrid, with that model’s lower cargo floor resulting in a taller measured cargo space. While the 4Runner hybrid does have a lot of overall cargo space, its tall liftover height could be an issue, particularly for shorter drivers, so be sure to load and unload common items to see what it’s like. Bring that sports gear or stroller to the dealership and test it out for yourself.

The little Lexus NX is comfortably in middle age, yet it’s still one of the brand’s bestsellers as the current generation enters its fifth model year. Lexus is dumping the base 250 powertrain for 2026, but it’s looking to expand the compact SUV’s appeal by significantly diversifying the remaining lineup with new combinations of the NX’s three powertrains and four trim levels.

What’s New With the 2026 Lexus NX?
The hybrid NX 350h, previously only available with all-wheel drive, can now be had in lower-priced front-wheel-drive form. The base price of the plug-in hybrid NX 450h+ likewise drops, with the addition of the more lightly furnished Premium trim level (previously, the PHEV was only available in the range-topping Luxury and F Sport Handling trims). And whereas the F Sport Handling was formerly available only on the 450h+ and gas-powered NX 350, Lexus is now offering the package’s sport suspension and adaptive dampers on the regular hybrid 350h, as well.

What Are the 2026 Lexus NX’s Powertrain Specs, MPG and 450h+ Range?
Now that the NX 250 is gone from the lineup, the hybrid 350h is the most affordable NX. It pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric assist for total output of 240 horsepower and 270 pounds-feet of torque, routed through a continuously variable automatic transmission. FWD is standard, and AWD is available on every trim level for an additional $1,550. The FWD NX 350h gets a manufacturer-rated 42/38/40 mpg city/highway/combined, while the AWD SUV returns 41/37/39 mpg (official EPA estimates for 2026 are not yet available)
A turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 hp and 317 pounds-feet powers the NX 350, backed by an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. It returns a Lexus-rated 21/28/24 mpg.
The NX 450h+ gets a retuned version of the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder from the 350h, with more powerful electric motors upping output to 304 hp. Torque remains at 270 pounds-feet, and the CVT returns. AWD is standard on the NX 450h+. A larger battery pack grants the plug-in hybrid NX up to a brand-estimated 37 miles of electric range and a 34 mpg combined rating when the gas engine is running.

The 2026 Lexus NX will go on sale later in 2025. Full pricing (including the $1,295 destination charge) is as follows:

What Are the 2026 Lexus NX’s Trim Levels?
For the most part, the NX’s trim levels are identical regardless of powertrain. In other words, buyers will find the same content in the Luxury trim on the NX 350h, NX 350 and NX 450h+. Base models include 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, a power liftgate and windshield-wiper de-icers. Inside are synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a digital instrument panel, a 9.8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 10 speakers.
The Premium trim adds a moonroof, hands-free power liftgate, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient cabin lighting and a power tilt/telescoping steering column. A heated steering wheel is also standard on the NX 450h+.
Step up to the NX Luxury and you’ll also get upgraded LED headlights, genuine leather, a 14-inch touchscreen with navigation and a rearview mirror camera. On the NX 450h+, the Luxury also includes 20-inch wheels.
Riding on a sport-tuned suspension with adaptive dampers, the F Sport Handling stands apart from the rest of the NX line thanks to its monochromatic exterior with body-color fender trim and dark-gray 20-inch wheels. With the 350 and 350h powertrains, it is otherwise equipped similarly to the base trim level but with upgraded headlights, a heated steering wheel and ambient lighting. Many features that are not available on the base trim are optional on the F Sport, and the 450h+ F Sport Handling also includes the heated and ventilated front seats, larger touchscreen and rearview mirror camera.

A head-up display is optional on the Premium trim and standard on the Luxury and F Sport. A 360-degree camera system is optional on all but the base trim, and automated parking is available for the Luxury and F Sport Handling.
