Citroen C3 Gets A Massive Price Cut Of Up to Rs 98,000; New Top-spec C3X Launched At Rs 7.91 Lakh

- Feel, Feel(O), and X Shine manual variants have received a price cut of Rs 25,000.
- The range-topping Shine turbo-automatic variant is now cheaper by Rs 10,000.
- Exterior revisions on the C3X include the addition of LED projector fog lights and turn indicators mounted on the ORVMs.
- Inside, the dashboard now gets a leatherette finish. Other additions include LED cabin lights and adjustable headrests for front seats.
- New features include push button start/stop, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, auto-fold ORVMs, and a 360-degree camera.
- Engine options include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (82 PS) and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (110 PS).
- New prices range between Rs 5.25 lakh and Rs 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The variant lineup of the Citroen C3 hatchback has been updated with a new range-topping C3X trim, based on the top-spec Shine variant. This new top-spec trim of the C3 comes with an added set of features and some minor enhancements. Apart from this, Citroen has also reduced the prices for the all three Live, Feel, and X Shine variants of the hatchback. Bookings for the C3 X are underway and deliveries are set to commence from the first week of September. Before we get into more details, let’s first have a look at its prices:

- The entry-level Live variant of the C3 has received the highest price cut, while the other Feel and X Shine variants are now Rs 25,000 more affordable.
- The top-spec Shine turbo automatic variant has only received a price reduction of Rs 10,000.
- The 360-degree camera comes as an optional equipment with X Shine trims, at a price premium of Rs 25,000.
- Customers can also opt for an optional CNG powertrain with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated variants of the hatchback by paying a price premium of Rs 93,000.
Exterior Design Of The C3X

While it still looks the same as the regular C3 hatchback, the C3X sets itself apart with LED projector fog lights at the front. The split LED DRLs remain unchanged, and the chunky bumper continues to feature a silver finish around the air dam. The LED projector headlights have been retained as well.
In profile, there are no noticeable changes, although the turn indicators mounted on the ORVMs (outside rear-view mirrors). A thick body cladding runs along the length of the car, adding to its rugged appeal, and it also features roof rails. The C3X continues to ride on the same 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as before. At the rear, the only clue that it’s a new variant is the ‘C3X’ insignia, while the rest of the details remain unchanged.

The C3 comes in 5 monotone colour options: Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, and Garnet Red. There are two dual tone colours available as well – Cosmo Blue with Polar White roof, and Garnet Red with Perla Nera Black roof.

Minor Updates Inside

Inside, minor updates have been given to the dashboard, and the highlights is its new leatherette finish on the front panel for a more premium feel. The design of the AC vents and centre console still remains the same. It now also features LED interior lighting and adjustable headrests for front seats.
Features And Safety

In terms of features, the C3X is a big setup over the previously available Shine variant of the C3 hatchback. It now comes with amenities like push button start/stop, cruise control with speed limiter function, auto-fold ORVMs and an auto-dimming IRVM. The safety package now includes an optional 360-degree camera as well. Rest of the equipment like a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto AC, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a 4-speaker sound system, and keyless entry.
Its safety package includes 6 airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

The entry-level and compact hatchback segment in India currently has ten products out of which six are from Maruti’s stable. In May 2025, the Maruti Swift was the best-selling car among them followed by the Maruti Wagon R, Tata Tiago, and Tata Tiago EV. Here’s a detailed account of the hatchback sales in May 2025:
